Abstract

One of the major processes in supply chain management is procurement. Procurement has been widely regarded as a major concern over the past decades. Correct item at the correct time, in a correct quantity with a right quality and at the right cost is the fundamental objectives of procurement. Thus, the activity of procurement becomes a great influencer for supply chain performance. Implementing e-procurement also involves data sharing, supplier evaluation and electronic data interchange. The activity of procurement becomes vital as it can determine the efficiency and successfulness of supply chain performance. The paper is aimed to suggest a proper conceptual framework of E-Procurement Implementation factors with Supply Chain Performance. The study utilizes an extensive literature comparison of past studies to determine expected factors that might contribute or influence supply chain performance. Only limited studies have been found that relates e-procurement implementation with supply chain performance. Although many literatures have been found supporting the concept, such relations somehow have not been materialized in the industry thus the study will serve as a platform to many more detailed research explorations on the subject.
