Digital M-Learning Application for Children with Down Syndrome in Strengthening the Learning Skill

Technological advances and the ability of mobile technology, mobile devices have now been transformed into an impressive level in the means of communication as a device for socialization, entertainment, work, and learning. Therefore, it is a good element to create a good learning aid. The objective of the study is to propose the prototype of mobile learning application for the Down Syndrome (DS) children specifically in learning Al-Quran. In order to designing Mobile learning (M-Learning) application software, it is important to understand what a special learning skill in Down syndrome children as a user requirement needs to support this application. Two observations have been done on Down syndrome children, in order to get the learning skills that can be applied during fabrication process and to introduce the Al-jabari technique as a method of learning the Quran. The results of these observations will serve as a user requirement to the software requirements specifications. This paper also discusses a prototype model for this application software. Hopefully, this interactive M-Learning application could be most efficient learning aids and help them enjoyable in learning session.
