Abstract

The research study aims to describe the causal relationship of the employee‟s frequent use of work-life balance programs in the reduction of work-life conflict and turnover intention through the use of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). 300 call center agents, aged 18 – 48 years old, from four different BPO companies in the Philippines participated in the study. Data gathered generated a new model that provides evidence on the relationships between the discovered dimensions of usage of work-life balance programs (Policy Rationalization and Time Adjustment and Social Support) and the dimensions of work-life conflict (Job Demands and Family Demands) and what dimensions affect turnover intention. This study serves as a clarion to HR managers;, calling for the efforts in organizations to develop programs and policies pertaining to employees‟ work life balance that focus on underlying matters that cause workers to have conflicts in their work and personal life.
