Testing the Compressors Performance Using a Mobile Application

Abstract

Nowadays compressor plays the main role in many industries. ELGI plays an important role in manufacturing the best compressors like the railway compressors which plays an important role in suppling compressed air for operation of air brakes, VCB, SMGR (in conventional loco), horns, wipers and other pneumatically controlled equipment. A compressor is a mechanical device that increases the pressure of a gas by reducing its volume. The readings collected by the employees are stored in this app to detect the state of the compressor. The readings collected will help the employees to know the pros and cons of the compressor in the testing period. This app is created through MIT app developer. This app contains 5testrings and each test rig contains four tests that takes place in an interval of 30mins.After collecting the readings the data are sent as a mail to the person in charge and also the readings which is sent will be stored in share point in the backend. Here the readings collected will be managed by a team where they will check whether they are in the range / fixed value. If not, then the compressor undergoes analysis. Every past reading will also be stored in the share point which will help the person to know the past working of the compressor. Once when the team approves the readings of the compressor then they get the approval and the other processes take place.
